With design based on civil car Fiat 508 III Junak, Lazik was the most produced Polish military car before the World War II. In the 1936-1939 over 1500 vehicles were made. Designed and tested strictly for the military purposes Lazik was able to travel both on-road and off-road. Some of the cars were adapted also to pick-up versions with the medical intent. Used mainly for cargo and personell transportation Lazik was included in almost all Polish units and formations. One of them was famous “Black Brigade”, 10th Cavalry Brigade - first and only fully operational Polish motorised infantry unit in September 1939. Lazik cars were used by officers, aritllery units and support units, transported cargo and ammunition. This kind of vehicle was essential for motorised formation to operate at full efficiency.
